For those of you living in Singapore, renting a room from landlord. Do you have difficulties in doing laundry? Landlord is giving you problems because of laundry? limited in doing laundry? Landlord keeps on nagging because of your laundry? Well, i used to have that problem.

I came here to Singapore two years ago. My only options then and now are still have to rent a room. I made a mistake when I received a job over two years ago. I did not do my homework in searching the salary information here in Singapore. So here I am, ended up underpaid, having salary below the market rate. But anyways, I am still grateful that I am still able to survive for these years.

Living in Singapore is not that easy, especially if you are alone without a family here just like me. You will have to do everything yourself. My tips are for you to try to keep healthy, you don't want to ended up sick here when you are alone. Alone and sick is the worst case scenario if you are here.

Living here is also not that spectacular if you are alone, especially if you are underpaid like me of course. I have to rent a room, while it would be much better I presume if you could share one whole flat with your friends. I have been renting a room since I am here in Singapore. This is my second address.

I used to rent a room from an old couple. Those are the days which I found it tiring as I have to wash my laundry manually then I can wash it with their washing machine, which is really does not make any sense to me. The part which the landlord also wash their laundry manually then use the washing machine really does not make sense at all. Some say it is because they stick to their old ways, I think it's just does not make any sense. For one and a half years plus I stayed, there main reason is the rental is considered quite cheap as the flat is considered nearby to the city area. But I was having problems in doing my laundry.

Now I am renting to a landlord who is also giving problems. He some what tricked me. He lied on the time I deal the rental. He said that there will be only three persons will stay in the flat, which is himself, another tenant, and me. After one month staying here, the landlord rented out his room to another tenant and the landlord is sleeping on the living room ever since. This is very outrageous, looks like this guy is just on for the money.

Since there are more people in the flat, washing laundry also becomes a problem. The flat has two hanger, outside the kitchen window and outside of the flat. Outside the kitchen window is an open area where the hanger will easily dry because the sun light can reach it but the rain can also make it wet. The hanger outside of the flat will take the clothes to dry slower since the sun light can not reach the hanger.

The landlord is actually cheating as he is able to do his laundry anytime he wants, and the tenants can not. He will complain the tenants on the spot if they wash often. I also got complained from him before. In the beginning he said that I am allowed to wash my laundry twice a week, now since more people are in then I must see the proper timing. This proper timing is very unclear.

Ever since, I tried to find my way out of this laundry nightmare. I tried some of the laundry services around. There are some public laundry services you can choose. There are door to door laundry service, drop and collect laundry service, and coin operated washing machine service.

The door to door laundry service are definitely the most convenient way to do your laundry of course. The laundry service will collect your laundry in your place once you make the order. Then one week later they will deliver back your cleaned laundry to your door step. I consider one week time is to slow and the cost also expensive if you have a lot of laundry to do.

Drop and collect service or some of the laundry service call it wash and fold, is another option for you to do your laundry. All you need is to go down to the laundry service, drop your laundry, pay the cash and collect it the day after. This way would be faster as you would be able to collect your laundry the day after, but the cost for me are still consider higher to what I do now, which is using the coin operated washing machine.

For you who have tight budget here in Singapore. Coin operated washing machine is the best option. The coin operated washing machine is much cheaper compare to other services. You are able to wash it and dry it on the spot. You will just have to wait around one and a half hour to do your laundry. This method will solve your problem in doing your laundry in Singapore.

There are some coin operated washing machine services Singapore island wide. This is what you need to find to solve your laundry problem. The one I always go to is located in Anchor point at Alexandra opposite of IKEA. I think I can't say the name here, but all you have to do is to search it on google. Hope this article helps.
